Can you spot Brian Donnelly?
Okay, back to topic! Kaws Imaginary Friends, through some circumstance I've brought the show card of this exhibition from instagramers that my brother liaise with.

Current read: Fifty shades of grey. Well it's actually an erotic novel by British author E. L. James. Fifty shades of grey it's actually the 1st volume there's 2 more volume to go which is fifty shades of darker and fifty shades of freed. Ladies you can read it HERE. It's a PDF file so you can read in online or at smart phone. The series has sold 40 million copies worldwide, and according to amazon UK this series sold better than harry potter! It's really time worthy!! I'll try to finish the book over the weekend!
Brian Donnelly whom also known as kaws, is a former graffiti artist, painter and designer. I'm very sure people who likes streets label will know who is he. So i did some research on him, on how did he start all these.
Q:Where did your signature “X” come from?
A:Before I got into painting over ads, I was just working traditional graffiti. And that kind of led me into painting over billboards. So, in 1993, I was still doing letter stuff, but I just started incorporating it into ads. I’d stand there painting while cars went by.
Q:How did you get involved in graffiti?
A:It was just all around. It’s sort of, you know, if you have an art interest. … Actually, it’s great for a young kid who’s just interested in being creative, because you meet other kids who have the same interests. It’s like you play soccer. You meet kids that play soccer, and you just come out of the woodwork when you get involved. I started painting other imagery like the skull and crossbones and when I got into breaking into the phone booths and the bus shelters, and I started using that imagery and kind of let the lettering fall out. I started to think about it almost like competing with the advertisers for space. That’s how I saw graffiti; I mean it was the parallels that were really kind of funny. The point is to make work that would last on the streets and almost just be there, but not. You know? Maybe someone doesn’t even stop but later is like, “What was that? Weird ad.”
Information credit to NYTIMES I just copy and pasted some interesting facts for more detail u can click at the NYTIMES. =)
And there's also some quotes from him :
"My first interest in graffitti came when I was in grammar school, around '87 or '88 I was about twelve years old. I did not know much about writing, I just knew that I liked to write my name everywhere I could in my neighborhood." - KAWS
"It's just a combination of letters I liked. And when your whole art's based on the lettering you choose, you kinda figure out what ones work together. I just liked the shapes of the k, a, w, s. It has no meaning." - KAWS

What I'm gonna blog today is all about Kaws X Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket! This set has been launched 2 years ago at the price of ¥17,640 (Approx. $206 USD), till date the price has rise up to 800+ USD! And now it's very hard to find in the market as it's quite a rare piece, so today I'm going to post a close up picture of it. FYI: This is not my collection, it's my brother's. =)
So cute isn't it? It's very detail and the colour is very vibrant, this is definitely nicer than the be@rbricks. So wonder should we get the astro boy as it's launching soon? hummm!
Above picture is screenshot from google, as there's some fake item circulate in the fourm, online and some reseller. Before you buy maybe u can take a look how to differentiate the real & fake Pinocchio. The top first column on the left is fake Pinocchio you can see the X at the eyes & jaws is very thickly drawn, the X at the hand is thinner compare to the real Pinocchio. The Middle left u can see the fake Pinocchio is abit slanted and also looks thicker. For the last column i can't really see clearly though! Soooo.... hahah that's about it. I'm going off for my 1st braces adjustment/tightening!
